Born Unto Righteousness

Mankind is composed of two elements, a soul and a spirit, and cannot live without either. He lives in a temple, a physical body. God removed man’s spirit with its sinful nature and placed Him in Christ on the cross to be crucified (Romans 6:6). This would have included all men alive, the dead living in Paradise, and those yet unborn.

Jesus, having died, God resurrected Him to sit at His right hand, and we were in Him (Ephesians 2:5-6). As Jesus slept in death, God took Christ’s spirit and placed Him in us, thereby avoiding our imminent death and ensuring our eternal life and our oneness with Him (Galatians 2:20). It was the same technique He used on Adam to find a suitable helpmeet for him (Genesis 2:21-24). At this time, God named us and gave us the name of Jesus (Genesis 5:1-2). We could now come to God using that name. We are His body and members in particular (1 Corinthians 12:12-14). We cannot sin and are righteous before God because of our rebirth. (1 John 3:9).

The soul’s righteousness comes from agreeing with our righteous spirit from God. Renewing our mind by communion with God transforms the mind, will, and emotions into His righteousness.

God is righteousness; therefore, I see righteousness as God giving Himself to us and do not see righteousness as something God has given us.
