Genesis 2:21-25 KJV
(21) And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
(22) And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
(23) And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of Man.
(24) Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
(25) And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
When God searched for a mate for Adam, He could not find a suitable one in the world. However, He did see her in Adam, so He took Adam’s rib from him and created his wife. God named her Adam because He had made her from Adam.
Genesis 5:1-2 KJV
(1) This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
(2) Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
After the two of them had sinned, Adam saw his mate as separate from himself and named her Eve. This mindset was a direct rebellion against God. God has never changed His mind about marriage.
Interestingly, the Apostle Paul believed Adam was also prophesizing about the Ekklesia speaking of the woman and marriage.
Ephesians 5:29-32 KJV
(29) For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
(30) For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
(31) For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
(32) This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
1 Corinthians 12:27 KJV
(27) Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
The Lord spoke through the Apostle Paul and told us that the relationship between Jesus and the Ekklesia was marriage.
Romans 7:4 KJV
(4) Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
We have been married to Jesus (the Word of God), whom God raised from the dead. We were set free from the law of sin and death (born again) to be married to Christ and enable us to bear fruit from and mature into Sons. Jesus permanently sealed this marriage with a blood covenant and the water of the Word of God (John 19:34).
1 John 3:9 KJV
(9) Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
John is speaking of our spirit man who has been born again. Paul the Apostle said of this event in his life:
Galatians 2:20 KJV
(20) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
When it was time for the members of the body of Christ to be born (His wife), God looked to Christ as the source for a suitable wife, just as He had with Adam.
Ephesians 2:6 KJV(6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
God had placed our old man with his sinful nature in Jesus on the cross and crucified him as Jesus was. Our new spirit-man was then raised in Christ and seated in Him in heavenly places. God took our new spirit from Christ and placed it in us at birth.
England has a kingdom government that resembles God’s Kingdom. When the King of England died and left the earth, his wife remained. She wielded the same power and authority as her husband had when he was here. Similarly, when Christ died and left the earth, we, His wife, remained to rule and reign as Him, wielding the same power and authority as He had. Also, as His wife, God regards us as one with Him and carries His name with the legal right to use it in God’s Kingdom.
Jesus was their King, so the order of prayer was to ask Jesus when He was present with the disciples. Jesus changed this order of prayer because He planned to turn His Kingdom over entirely to the Father. His Father was to be the new King and ruler, and Jesus would have the title and rule as Prince of the Kings of the earth (I Corinthians 15:24, 28 and Revelation 1:5).
John 16:23-24 KJV
(23) And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
(24) Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
We ask the Father (the King) in this new heavenly order, and He has the authority to give it to you. Jesus (the High priest of our profession) brings it to pass, and the Holy Spirit is the chief revelator and communicator. We (the Ekklesia) are married to the Prince and High Priest Jesus.
