Godly Relationships

God gave us three commandments to regulate the Kingdom of God in the world. I will paraphrase them here. Knowing and practicing them keeps us perfect before God.

• Love God-Matthew 22:37

• Love people in the world-Matthew 22:39

• Love people in the Kingdom of God-John 26:12

Each is a different expression of agape love and is the only thing you can take to heaven. So do not be deceived; omitting any of them cancels all three. Jesus not only expected us to know them but also to practice them continuously. He gave us the love to use for this purpose. Satan started hatred (rebellion) in heaven, and God removed him. God will never invite the return of hatred (sin) nor accept excuses for its presence and practice in our lives. These are commandments of the king of glory, not friendly suggestions. A friend of mine always states, “Family is everything.” I believe that is a quote from God. Relationships are everything.
