Our self-identity results from the interpretation the subconscious mind has formed of our life experiences plus inherited characteristics. It is usually a very complex integration of our and others’ thoughts and conclusions. Salvation is the lifelong pursuit of discovering God’s identity for us, with Him renewing our minds to transform us into His image.
