It Is the Father's Kingdom Now

Using England as an example of how a kingdom works with the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the crown has passed to her heir. The former Prince of Wales is now King Charles III. There can only be one king in England at a time. So Charles had to remain a prince until Queen Elizabeth died. The Kingdom of God works similarly.

Jesus tells us that when He returns to heaven, He will be subject to His Father as king (1 Corinthians 15:24 & 26), and we should also acknowledge the Father as our king. But, of course, God is still alive, so Jesus became a prince over the kings of the earth upon His return to heaven (Revelation 1:5). Jesus spoke of this day (John 14:13-14)(John 16:22-24) and told us to ask anything of our Father, the king in the name of Jesus. He will give it to you, or Jesus will do it for you. So believe, receive, and practice, practice, practice this great promise until it is your identity. Do as King David and encourage yourself in the Lord.
