Pentecost-An Expression of God's Kingdom

Religions are always counterfeits of a relationship with God. Their characteristics are hard work today and unfulfilled promises for tomorrow. Some promises, such as heaven, are for after death and can never be apprehended in this lifetime.

Jesus, however, has promised us the Kingdom of God. The phrase "Kingdom of God" appears in red letters about 48 times in my King James Bible, and "Kingdom of Heaven" about 31 times. The good news (gospel) Jesus preached and told us to preach was the kingdom message. He wants people today to receive, experience, and live in it today, not tomorrow. Today is the day of the Lord; therefore, Jesus always delivers His promises now.

If we are to receive His Kingdom, I believe we must first answer this question. What is the Kingdom of God? It is not the Kingdom of Jesus He preached but the Kingdom of God. Jesus delivered it to us as a government headed by the King Father God, assisted by Jesus, the Prince of the kings of the earth and High Priest. The Holy Spirit operates as the governor and revelator of the Kingdom. They work in unison, exerting their rule and influence upon the hearts of believers. God's Kingdom is within us.

Today, religion has reduced Pentecost to an expression of revival, and attempts to repeat its results have failed. On the day of Pentecost, Jesus delivered the Kingdom of God and its accompanying manifestation, the Kingdom of Heaven, to the hearts of believers as He had promised. All the benefits of kingdom living are legally delivered with the Kingdom and sealed by blood covenant promises written in the government's constitution, the New Testament, and are waiting for us to receive them.

The absolute proof was that people were in one accord and that the manifestations of the miraculous had to be the result of heavenly manifestation. These people were His helpmeet, the Ekklesia, who inherited His power and authority upon His physical death and subsequent return to heaven.

Publicly dare to break the confines of traditional religion today by identifying yourself as a child of God and citizen of this Kingdom by entering this exciting life yourself. The world's people need another Kingdom-generated Pentecost and its resulting display of God's power. Anything less will not be compelling enough to change the world.
