Prayer for God’s People 1

It seems crystal clear that God desires a government based on an intimate family relationship. That relationship begins when people accept your offer to join you as children, sons, daughters, citizens, ambassadors, and members of your ekklesia. But, first, your child, although born a son, must grow in wisdom and stature before man and God until you approve.

Yet many are still trying to receive your blessings, your provisions, and even heaven itself without first seeking a kingdom relationship with you, as you desire. Instead, using the name of your son Jesus they adopt an entitlement attitude of entering heaven because of birthright rather than receiving, committing to citizenship, and accepting your rulership within themselves. It seems we want the Kingdom of God and Heaven out there someplace, although you clearly stated you want them within us.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask please forgive us. This incredible offer has been available for many years. Still, most have not heard it nor accepted it, and many others have tried to change the terms of the offer. We often wish to receive it as an outside influence or maybe sometime in the future, but not today inside of us. Therefore, because you promised we could preach it, we ask you to release us worldwide to proclaim, “Repent. The Kingdom of God is at hand today.” Amen.

God wants His kingdom to become an overwhelming presence within us. He wants to fill people with His kingdom, not fill His kingdom with people. Therefore, let us go forth, presenting the mind of Christ through discipling people until they are filled with the presence of the Kingdom of God and manifesting the Kingdom of Heaven through living in an intimate relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
