The Treasure is the Kingdom

Matthew 13:44-46 KJV (44) Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. (45) Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: (46) Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Surprise folks, Jesus is not the treasure, although we treasure Him. The Kingdom of Heaven is the treasure that leads us to give everything to attain. Jesus is the only way into this precious treasure of a relationship with the Father, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit. In this relationship, we are one in the Godhead because God the Father has placed our sinful spirit man on the cross in Jesus and given us the Spirit of Christ. The Apostle John said this Spirit of Jesus that now lives within us can never sin.

1 John 3:9 KJV (9) Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

The process of salvation is the transformation of our minds by agreeing with and accepting this and the other truths of God. Uniting our minds with God’s truths makes us one with Him in our spirit and soul.
