We are Born Again

Jesus took all sin from the world (John 1:29) by taking away the old man of rebellion. He placed it in Jesus to be crucified and destroyed (Romans 6:6). In return, He gave every living man a new spirit taken from Himself (Galatians 2:20). The new spirit He gave us cannot sin because it is God’s spirit. Therefore, he cannot sin (1 John 3:9). He has made our spirit one with Himself. Therefore, our soul - mind, will, and emotions – must completely agree with our spirit. God calls this process working out the salvation of our souls (Philippians 2:12). It is accomplished by the renewing our minds-changing our way of thinking-until we are transformed into His likeness (Romans12:2).
