We are the Temple of God

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 KJV

(3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

(4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The temple of God is not now, nor will it again be located in Jerusalem. We, believers, are the temple of God forever. Today the evil spirit spoken of in Thessalonians has already ascended and is firmly seated in the hearts of millions of religious people. Religion is his forte.

The falling away from kingdom relationships and entering into religious traditions (3 songs, announcements, 30-minute sermons) has already happened to many. We see evidence of this and its resulting loss of power displayed to the world. Today, almost all Christian gatherings are the distribution of Bible knowledge, not the God-given revelation of the heart of God received in fervent prayer from the night before. Jesus is a citizen, Son, and king carrying the Kingdom of God; that is who He has said we are. If we truly believed in Jesus, we would walk by the relationship standard He set for us and do greater works than He did. Now, it isn’t too late to call a solemn assembly and repent before God, but the hour is late, and the situation becomes spiritually and physically dangerous.
